Curiosity & Me
02:06
|
|||
Curiosity invites me
to wander as I walk
Curiosity reminds me
To look beneath that rock?
Hypotheses, queries, theories
Possibilities without end
Curiosity and me, shall be lifelong friends.
When we go out to tea,
she say, “let’s try the tea we’ve never tried!”
We we go to the fair,
She whispers, “shall we ride the scary ride?”
She’s the very best company
When you’re out adventuring
Or when you’re stuck indoors
In fear of boredom,
just give her a ring!
Curiosity invites me
to wander as I walk
Curiosity reminds me
To look beneath that rock?
Hypotheses, queries, theories
Possibilities without end
Curiosity and me, shall be lifelong friends.
And have you heard of a curious cat?
He was rather fat and lazy.
No joy, no surprise, no song, no laughter.
And when he met Curiosity,
It was said he was led astray...
But he was off on an adventure with Curiosity!
And he lived happily ever after!

See What We Can See
02:07
|
|||
Let’s see what we can see
When we look outside
Let’s see what we can see
When we look to the sky
Let’s see what we can see
When we crouch to the ground
Let’s see what we can see
When we simply look around
We can see the endless possibilities
We can spot two different things but see similarities
Do you see what I see?
Or do you see it differently?
Oh who knows what we can see when we see what we can see
Let’s see what we can see
When we climb up the hill
Let’s see what we can see
When we sit very still
Let’s see what we can see
Both big and small
Then see what we can see
When we think we’ve seen it all
We can see the endless possibilities
We can spot two different things but see similarities
Do you see what I see?
Or do you see it differently?
Oh who knows what we can see when we see what we can see
Let’s see what we can see
When we hear a symphony
Let’s see what we can see
When we smell a scent yummy
Let’s see what we can see
When our imagination flies
Let’s see what we can see
Even when we close our eyes
We can see the endless possibilities
We can spot two different things but see similarities
Do you see what I see?
Or do you see it differently?
Oh who knows what we can see
There’s so much for us to see
I see you and you see me
When we see what we can see

Paw in Paw
01:53
|
|||
Wing in wing
Paw in paw
Hand in hand
Claw in Claw
Fin in Fin
Step in step
In stride
Stronger together,
Working side by side
And you might prefer to work alone
You’re at your best,
Unbothered by all the rest
And at times, I must say, I quite agree
But as a wise old lioness said to me,
“If you want to go fast, work alone,
But if you want to go far, work together!”
Wing in wing
Paw in paw
Hand in hand
Claw in Claw
Fin in Fin
Step in step
In stride
Stronger together,
Working side by side
And we might not see eye to eye
Yes, you and me,
We’ll disagree
And at times, we’ll want to walk away
But our differences are the reason to stay!
How alike is a nail to a hammer?
A needle to thread or a pen to paper?
Let’s work together!

Something New
01:10
|
|||
Try something new
And after your do
You can say, “I don’t like this thing, no way!”
Or you can say, “I’d like a little bit more!”
Or you can say, “You know, I’ve tried something like that before”
So try it once, then never again!
Or try it every day and share it with a friend.
But try, try for yourself
Don’t rely on what is said by someone else
For we all have a different taste
Go a different pace
And that’s what makes us great!
It makes me the only me and you, uniquely you.
So what do you say? I say, “Let’s try something new.”

Butterfly Lullaby
01:48
|
|||
Butterfly, Butterfly
Flutter by my window
A simple view
Transforms when you
Stop to say hello
Butterfly Butterfly
No wonder why I’m drawn to you
Your wistful wings bring whisperings
Of your dreams come true
Your beauty and grace
Are ne’er out of place
Are we so different, you and I?
From humble beginnings you took to the sky
Never doubting you were born to fly.
Butterfly, Butterfly
Your lullaby is a welcome tune
For though I am bound to the ground
I too shall find my wings soon

Perseverance
01:43
|
|||
Perhaps it’s an impossible problem, perhaps.
Perhaps it’s too improbably to proceed, perhaps
Perhaps it appears implausible, not pragmatic, or just not practical!
Or perhaps, perseverance is all you need!
Perseverance, Perseverance
Perseverance helps us press on!
Helps us try a little bit harder
Helps us go a little bit farther
If you need a little perseverance, sing this song!
And sometimes the best way forward, I’ll admit is turning back
Sometimes to stay awake, we must take a nap
We don’t want to be stubborn, blindly digging our heels in.
But when we must start over, guess what helps us begin again…
(It’s) Perseverance, Perseverance
Perseverance helps us press on!
Helps us try a little bit harder
Helps us go a little bit farther
If you need a little perseverance, sing this song!

The Trash Truck comes tomorrow
We don’t want to miss out
The Trash Truck comes tomorrow
All the kiddos and parents will rush about
To so that grand, unique machine
The helps to keep our home and cities clean
The Trash Truck comes tomorrow
So now it’s time for bed
The Trash Truck comes tomorrow
So rest you sleepy dream filled head
For when we wake tomorrow,
We’ll go outside to see
The friendly trash truck wave hello
Trash Truck One, and Two and Three

Your Antarctica
01:48
|
|||
I miss the snow in Antarctica
The place I called home in Antarctica
Do you have a place or familiar face
that always offers a warm embrace?
Cozy, comfy, like Grandmama’s smile
A tree fort, a blanket, a friend you’ve not seen for a while.
Growing is knowing it’s okay to be
Apart from some things you still long to see
So follow your heart, every day
But when you are missing
something special far away
Close your eyes as I often do
And you’ll find your heart returns you
To your Antarctica.

It’s important to start the day
With your morning stretch and exercise
Morning stretch and exercise
Get fit as a fiddle, when you rise!
Reach up to touch the skies
Reach down to touch your toes
Twist from side to side
And away we go!
You might like a nice brisk walk
Or a vigorous, rigorous job
You can jump like good ole’ Jack
Or leap like a frog
With your friends or on your own
In the great outdoors or in your home,
With fitness
we begin this
Happy day with exercise!

Sharing Happy Things
01:15
|
|||
It’s time to climb
To find where we can go
To be the best of friends sharing adventures as we grow
We can climb to the tippy tippy top
Or lounge in the lowest limb
Licking our lips with honey ‘cause the bees are all my friends
And then we’ll crawl
To all the pretty plants
Look closely at the lovely leaves and see the yummy yummy ants.
Taste one, taste two
Eat three-hundred and thirty three!
And here’s a little bear tip, ants taste better with honey.
You are my best friend which is why I love to share
All the things that make me happy, necessities of a bear
How it happens, I don’t know
But when I share these happy things
It’s like the happiness grows and grows
Into bigger happy feelings!
